Combining the best parts of our campervans with adventure worthy 4WD vehicles, our 4WD campervan range will change your preconceptions on the traditional campervan experience. Driving across rugged rocky roads and rivers to get to camp, sitting around a campfire listening to the sounds of the bush and sleeping under starry night skies. This is the quintessential Outback experience, which Britz brings to you with the added comforts of a campervan.
We can already hear your first question - so do I sleep in the camper? Well that depends - we have three vehicles for you to choose from; the Safari 4WD, the Outback 4WD and the Scout 4WD. Each model is unique and provides a different experience. The manual Safari is based on a Toyota Landcruiser, comes with a rooftop tent while the automatic Outback is based on a Toyota Hilux and comes with the flexibility of a quick to setup standalone tent. The automatic Scout is based on the popular Mercedes Sprinter, and allows you to sleep inside on a fixed bed. If you want to find out which 4WD camper is right for you, take our quiz!

The big plus point of our 4WD campers is the ability to choose your own route. Forget the plans, open your map, find your "point B" and trace a route to get there. Of course there are a few restrictions, a handful of roads we ask you to stay off - the rest of Australia is your playground. There's so much to see on the journey though, balancing seeing the highlights with your holiday timeframe is the challenge. As you can imagine, we have a long list of "must do's" and "must see's," but the first part is whittling down exactly what you want to see and where you want to visit. Luckily we have plenty of inspiration and suggestions for you - for an overview read our top itineraries.

They say there's no better advice than from those who've been there and done it. So we've asked a couple of our past customers to put together their experiences, where they went, what they did, and what did/didn't work. Read about Franz and Nadine's Broome to Darwin adventure and Hamish's exploration of Darwin.
