Meet your ultimate off-road companion - the Maverick 4WD. Built on the tough, no-nonsense Ford Ranger, this rugged rig is made for couples chasing adventure off the beaten track - without giving up the comforts of home.

By day, it's your go-anywhere explorer. By night, it transforms into a cosy retreat, featuring a comfortable queen-sized bed inside so you can sleep easy wherever you pull up. The pop-top roof adds extra headroom, while USB ports keep your devices charged and ready for the next stop.

Cook under open skies with the exterior kitchen, complete with a portable gas stove and fridge, or enjoy a meal at the indoor dining table. Prefer the fresh air? Set up outside with the camp table and chairs and take it all in.

Rinse off after a dusty day with the outdoor shower, then unwind under the glow of amber lighting - perfect for outback nights without attracting unwanted bugs.

From remote tracks to coastal escapes, the Maverick 4WD is built for freedom, comfort, and a little bit of wild - the perfect setup for couples who want it all.

Child Restraints:

This camper cannot accommodate children seven years and under, nor children who are over seven years and still in a child restraint.

For more information on Child Restraints please read our guideline below:

Essential Items included with every campervan:

All our campervans are fully equipped with everything you need to make life easy on the road. Click here for a full list of what’s included in your camper.

Solar Panels:

Solar power panels provide a trickle charge to the 12V battery power supply only, much like the engine battery does when driving. The solar panels will not charge over and above the current draw on the battery, nor will they fully charge it. To fully charge your house battery we recommend plugging into 240V power every two days.

Linen Exchange:

This service is included in the Value Pack. It allows guests to exchange their linen (pillow, pillowcase, duvet (doona), sheets and towels) over for a fresh, clean set during the rental after seven days of travel. The branch will need to be notified ahead of time to ensure the items are available and ready for collection.

Bring your pet:

Well-behaved dogs or cats are welcome to come along for the trip. A fee per hire applies. This is to cover additional cleaning processes that we undertake. For more information on bringing a pet please see our guidance here.

Helpful Tips for the Maverick 4WD:

  • We recommend you plug into 240 volt power on your first night and then every two or so days for the house battery to fully charge. The speed of the 12 volt battery drainage will depend on the climate and how often it is used. A full charge takes between 14 to 16 hours and needs to be done at a campground every two or so days.

  • Top-up the fresh water every one to two days.

  • Slightly open the roof windows at night to minimise condensation

  • Do not step on the roof, canopy or bonnet of the vehicle. Always use the step provided to access the awning

  • Always double check to ensure you have stored away the awning and pop-top roof securely before travel

  • Lastly, always remember, have your keys with you when you are outside the camper
